I first downloaded Ubuntu CD from their site. When I downloaded it, I know nothing about Ubuntu. But I'm having a little experience with Ubuntu 5, due to poor software and hardware features, I'm back to windows.
After installing I went to Applications, Places and System(Preferences and Administration) and nothing impressed me.
Now I found its resolution is 800x600 and my monitor is 17''. My ideal resolution is 1024x768. After that I found my graphic card drivers are not installed.
My graphic card is Nvidia FX 5500. It took 3 nights for me to fix this(How I fixed this is my next blog post).
After fixing I started using it.
After that my goal became to install apache, php, mysql and last phpmyadmin. I installed them, but I got a problem (permissions for /var/www). I got this fixed.
Then I installed my favourite FTP client Fillzilla.
I installed Chrome too.
